Hello! We are Brenda and Peter, the new owners of the Andon-Reid Inn. We can’t wait to introduce ourselves in person to all of our amazing guests! But in the meantime, we thought we’d introduce ourselves here.
First, we wanted to say that we couldn’t be more excited to own this amazing Inn, and to express our deep gratitude to former owners George and Andrea for making the transition so smooth. They have done a wonderful job as caretakers of the Inn over the last 7 years. We are honored to follow in their footsteps and to continue to provide the absolute best in hospitality, luxury and comfort for which the Andon-Reid is known.
We moved to Waynesville with our two children (and two cats) from Norfolk, Virginia. We are a proud military family, as Brenda just completed 20 years in the US Navy. Waynesville has captured our hearts; in fact, we fell in love with the area and all it has to offer from our first visit. Every day we marvel at the sunset from the fire pit below the porch, in awe of the beautiful views and amazing climate. We couldn’t imagine a better place to be.
As we think about the Andon-Reid and our plans for the future, we will do everything we can to build upon and take care of this wonderful Inn. We will work hard to maintain what makes the Inn so special to so many repeat guests, while constantly thinking about how to improve the guest experience and make every stay even more memorable. For example, we have inherited a spectacular breakfast menu from George and Andrea (that stuffed French toast – yum!) and we plan on continuing in their tradition. We may also add a few new items that we are excited to share with upcoming guests (like our strawberries with balsamic glaze). We are looking forward to connecting deeply with local Waynesville vendors and helping guests experience all the amazing products and services offered by our fellow small businesses in the area.
Fall is coming, and we can’t wait to see the leaves change and to experience our first autumn season as Innkeepers of the Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast. The opportunity to share this wonderful place with as many people as possible is why we decided to buy the Inn. We hope to see you all soon!
Dear Brenda and Peter,
Congratulations on your new ownership of this wonderful inn! We stayed there last year with Andrea and George and loved it! One thing we especially appreciated was the mattress comfort. We are looking at replacing the mattress in our guest room and wonder if you could share the kind of mattresses you use at the inn, specifically, beyond just brand name.
Be assured when we visit Waynesville again, we will be contacting you and look forward to meeting you and staying again. We are too spoiled now.
